WE - Consult has an environmental department with expertise in a whole range of environmental specialisations, including environmental botanists, zoologists, health specialists, agriculturalists, horticulturalists and engineers. All experts we work with are registered with NEMA. Therefore, we can carry out the environmental studies for developments in any sector regardless of the size.
WE - Consult's pool of environmentalists has successfully participated in numerous EIA's and Scoping exercises. Examples are the EIA for the implementation of a big gravity flow scheme using water originating from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, and the Scoping of the impacts of degazettement of Pian-Upe Wildlife Reserve for agro-industrial purposes.
In Uganda every developer is required to carry out an environmental impact assessment and prepare a report called an Environmental Impact Statement, and submit it to NEMA for approval. Environmental audits are legally required for any development or project after every two years of operation. An audit involves a general evaluation of the project over its past operations in relation to its environment and its compliance to the implementation of the recommended mitigation measures in any impact assessment done before. New measures can be recommended and a compliance agreement signed between NEMA and the developer.

Factories, lodges, housing and agricultural estates and hospitals, etc.
WE - Consult specialises in turn-key projects where we are not just responsible for building and quality control of your new development, but also carry out the environmental impact assessments as required by NEMA. Our environmentalists make sure that your development is swiftly implemented in accordance with NEMA's standards in a cost-effficient manner.
We provide training courses in environmental management practices. We will be happy to discuss your training requirements in the fields of environment and natural resources conservation and/or sustainable development.
