Narrative
description of project:
|
|
The objective
of the services was to enable DWD, through the preparation
of design specifications for a comprehensive but user-friendly
computerised MIS, to monitor achievements and constraints
on both technical and financial issues, with the further
aim of providing a tool for efficient management.
The MIS
has been based on a warehouse concept where data is
extracted from a number of operational databases and
imported into a data warehouse. Two main consultancy
activities within DWD can be identified: Those for Internal
finance and administration including a number of databases,
and activities for the water sector information system,
including the new Stakeholder database, the new water
and sanitation activity monitoring database, and recommendations
for existing operational databases.
