description of project: |
| WE
Consult was requested by Wateraid in 2004 to carry out
baseline surveys in two districts together with Wateraid
and Public Works Zambezia. WE Consult gave training
and technical advice for the data collection and conducted
the baseline survey.
The project got a follow-up in 2006, when another 14
districts were included. A comprehensive GIS system
and improved database were set-up
The output is to supply reliable data on the actual
coverage of the population and will be useful as a planning
tool for the future projects in both districts. Additional
data gathered on schools will assist the educational
department in assessing the needs of the districts.
Also data on sanitation and health posts have been gathered.
The field work was coordinated together with DPOPH,
district administration and Wateraid. |
