Narrative description of project:

Water supply design and evaluation study in an environment of ridges with steep slopes. Evaluation of non-functioning existing schemes with elaborated distribution networks. The project also included a water resources evaluation study and environmental assessment and impact study. Surface water in deep valleys and springs appeared the most feasible water sources. Review of existing proposals for the rehabilitation of the existing schemes and identification of alternative water supply possibilities with topographical measurements for mapping, tentative designing for preliminary costing. More detailed topographical surveys with design reports are to be carried out in September 2000.
